Rhine rielsing, sur-lie, BARRIQUE, late harvest, dry, 2019

397  Incl. VAT

Grapes from a vineyard with reduced yield, the wine fermented and matured on all yeasts in medium-charred French oak barrique casks of fine grain, manufactured by Francois Freres, for ten months, without addition of any sulfur, with completed malolactic fermentation using pure bacterial cultures. Wine of green-yellow color with golden reflections, spicy to mineral, aroma with a wide range of meadown flowers and linden blossom with a very subtle touch of petroleum tones. The taste is apple, lemon peel, apricot and marzipan, underlined by a well-incorporated cask. Fresh dry wine with harmonic acidity and little residual sugar of 0.6 g/l with excellent potential for further bottle maturing. Unfiltered.

Recommendation:

Fatter meat dishes, including smoked meat, lighter fish and poultry dishes.
