Traminer EN

Traminer – the origin is unknown, probably comes from Austria or Tyrol, but it can also be from Egypt. According to recent research, this variety was created by free crossing of forest vine and then participated in the emergence of other classic European varieties. Genetically, it is the oldest grown grape variety in the Czech Republic. The variety is very demanding in terms of location, requiring fertile, deep, warm soils, without increased lime content. It can only be grown in the warmest positions, it is very demanding for green work. With ripen grapes, it gives full, spicy wine with a tea rose-like aroma, accompanied by other fragrances such as cinnamon, orange blossom, citrus fruit, tea or honeysuckle with a characteristic richness of narcotic aroma and spiciness. The wine has a dense to highly viscous structure. Wines have a long aftertaste, intense color and are not used for everyday drinking – they require an adequate state of mind and enough time to enjoy all the experiences they can bring.
