Sauvignon blanc EN

Sauvignon blanc (Sauvignon) – the variety comes from France from the Loire Valley, probably originated by crossing the varieties „Chenin blanc“ and „Traminer“. It is grown in most wine-growing countries of the world, in France it was called „King of wines and wine of kings“. It requires very good positions on higher frost-protected slopes. Poor stony and sandy soils are suitable, but not too dry or waterlogged. It is one of the best wines in the northern wine-growing regions. It provides full wines with typical peach nutmeg aromas. In less favorable years, at higher yields undesirable grassy, nettle to paprika tones arise in aroma and taste.
